On August 4, 2024, Twinkle Borge passed away.  Twinkle was responsible for the organization of Pu'uhonua o Wai'anae.  She was an incredible leader and a compassionate neighbor who can never be replaced.

Rest in Peace, Twinkle.

Kuleana: both a privilege and a responsibility.  A sacred duty that one is honored to be tasked with.

Mana: spiritual energy or power

​Twinkle, an unhoused person herself, knew that giving people purpose was empowering.  She used this principle to organize and maintain her homeless encampment and she went on to accomplish amazing things there before her death on August 4, 2024.

Moving forward, we will direct some of our donations to the profuct of her vision, Pu'uhonua o Wai'anae, an amazing and innovative housing project for unhoused people on the island of O'ahu.
